Michael was placed through the Hourswork project in April 2004. Previous to this Michael had never had any work experience and spent all his time in a day centre.
At the start of Michael's placement he was completing approximately 5% of job himself with his support staff completing the other 95%. Michael has progressed to completing 95% of the job independently and clearly enjoys his job. He can now lead his support staff through the building to the clocking in/out machine and to his area of work.
Michael takes great pleasure in showing his uniform and name badge to people he knows, he also gets enjoyment from being part of a team. Working at the Trafford Centre gives Michael invaluable social interaction and helps the team he works within to be more efficient during busy periods.
