Connexions provide a Personal Advisor Service for all school leavers to help them decide on a career and find a suitable job. Unfortunately they do not have the time or resources to give individual support to the often troubled young person.
Two special committees made up of representatives from the Youth Transition Team at Pure, Children's Services, Education Support Team and Connexions meet monthly to monitor and discuss young people in need of such support. Social Workers from Stockport's Looked After Children Team then refer people to Pure Innovations.
