Pure Innovations took over the running of the Vernon Museum and Conference Centre from Stockport Council Heritage Services in July 2005.
Recently Vernon has undergone a major renovation and refurbishment project, opening a brand new cafe and a state-of-the-art Conference Centre. Visitors at Vernon will also have the chance to view local community artwork.
The Centre runs over an expansive three floors, with the museum on the lower ground floor, a visitor's centre on the ground floor and the artwork viewing area and conference centre on the top floor with fantastic views over the Goyt Valley.
The team voluntarily run the Museum and Conference Centre and their duties include meeting and greeting, collecting geographical information from the visitors, running the tea room, cafe and conferencing facilities, customer service, stock replenishment, general cleaning, security and regular warden rounds.
In addition to this, the team organise and run a wide range of events including toddler groups and children's weekly events during school holidays.
